TV Show
In 2005 the decision was made to produce a weekly one-hour television program, to be broadcasted on a local television station in Bethlehem. It aims to rebuild and develop the civil society, to increase the level of awareness concerning issues of human rights, democracy, health, environment and good initiatives among people. The program is produced and run by the crew at NVMC with the support of PMU in Sweden.
During the program the viewer hears from children, youth, and adults. The TV show gives the opportunity for the average citizen to voice his opinions and for experts to voice theirs. Discussions are held in our studio along with children’s events and special reports. The show also affords the viewer an opportunity to see different places in Palestine and hear discussions with people on the street. These discussions center around issues that concern the society as well as highlight Christian cultural heritage.
The first TV show that was produced ended in 2007, but was followed by another weekly TV show which deals with similar topics and ideas. This program is still continuing to be produced today and is scheduled to end in April of 2011.
The Future for NVMC TV Program
Staring May of 2011, NVMC is excited to be starting a new program, which will deal with democratic family values and structure within Palestine. For the Palestinian people life is centered on the family and the family is the heart of the society.
How to Support the TV Program
NVMC is planning for a new and larger television studio that will enable it to produce this new TV program effectively. This new studio will also provide more and better opportunities for the students in the media program at Bethlehem Bible College to implement what they are being taught in the classroom.
We invite you to consider partnering with us in funding the construction and equipping of the new studio. This is a vital way that you can be involved with us in making a positive and lasting impact Palestinian society and on its future leaders in media.
If you would like to contribute to this new studio and equipment or you would like to help us further our media program please look at our contact page.
We invite you to consider volunteering with our program. If you have a love for media and a desire for experiencing new things, we always appreciate new ideas and would love to work with you. This can be for however long you can provide.
NVMC looks forward to partnering with you and one by one make a difference in this society!
